video piece/instrument developed with Nico Pam Dick for the exhibition ‘telefone sem fio: word-things of augusto de campos revisited’ in collaboration with EFA Project Space for telephone journal issue 3. December 2011.

The concrete poem ‘Código’, by Augusto de Campos was reinterpreted by Nico Pam Dick as a series of 40 drawings, which were scanned and turned into a movie (screen left). This movie was fed into a custom max/MSP patch which separated the color channels (RGB) and turned them into sound frequencies. The frequencies were then turned back into an image (screen right). The scanning rate of each of the color channels was manipulated in real-time as an instrument, modulating the image as it was being redrawn.
